At Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch, your students get more than just your ordinary field trip, they get a unique and memorable learning experience.
| For
the past ten years, Heather Hughes has invited schools and individuals
to tour her 4 acre pumpkin patch. This is a chance for children
to obtain hands-on knowledge in the production of Fall's Most Celebrated
Fruit. In the first part of your trip, Mrs. Heather explains how
pumpkins grow, carves a jack-o-lantern, explains what is inside a pumpkin,
shows how to preserve a pumpkin, teaches about the importance of burning
candles safely, and much more.. In the second part of your trip, Mrs.
Heather takes your group to the pumpkin field where you will learn about
different kinds of pumpkins and then each child has the opportunity
to select their own pumpkin to take home. |
